About DVA Community Nursing
Royalty Scope Nursing Services is a government approved Community Nursing Provider for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The term DVA Approved means the provision of a range of in-home care or community support programmes that can help people to live independently with support for health, well-being and keeping in touch with the local community. DVA Approved services are supported by the Community Nursing Program. This program applies to individuals who are a part of the Australian defence Force, Australian Federal Police and War Veterans.
How we can help
The team at Royalty Scope Nursing has many years of experience providing a range of DVA Community Nursing Services. Our Community Nursing Services are offered by our collective team of Registered Nurses (RN), Enrolled Nurses (EN), and Support Workers. Services covered under the DVA CN Program include services such as:

Palliative Care
- Symptom Management
- Medication Administration Management

What is NOT covered under the DVA Community Nursing Program
CN services are based on maintaining a person’s independence at home and should complement rather than replace services that are more appropriately delivered through another program or by a carer. Services that are not covered under the DVA CN Program are:
- Home respite care
- Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
It is important to note that IADLs include:
- transportation
- cleaning / dishwashing/ laundry
- shopping
- childcare in some short-term and crisis care circumstances
- gardening
- meal preparation
- arranging for medications and filling prescriptions
- managing finances
