How to Access the Support at Home Program
The Support at Home Program is designed to help older Australians continue living independently and comfortably in their own homes. If you need extra help with daily tasks or want support to stay active and safe, this program is here for you.
1. Check if You’re Eligible
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 65 or older (or 50 or older if you’re Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander).
- Need assistance to stay living independently at home.
- Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
Even if you’re already receiving some support, you can apply for additional help if your needs have changed.
2. Contact My Aged Care
The first step is to get in touch with My Aged Care:

They will ask a few questions about your health and daily activities and help arrange an in-home assessment if needed.
